Wednesday May 12th, 2010 the Air Component organized a special press day for the presentation of its 2010 season demo pilots and the oncoming Beauvechain International Airshow.

The Augusta A-109 display team, Hardship Red flying the SF.260M and the F-16 display team where officialy presented.

Main events as the International Airshow at Beauvechain will be highlighted by their participation during the flying display. You will find all the needed information about the major events organized by the Belgian Air Compoment and the Belgian display participations with a simple "click" on the Airshow 2010 banner or on the web site of Belgian Air Component : Demonstration Teams

During the press briefing, the present staff of the Air Component emphasized on all the important aspects of the Beauvechain Airshow, like the general organisation, the transportation, the security and all the other important matters. This show will be one of the biggest airshows in Europe this year. Some interesting features for the general public will be offered such as a family package, a Spotter package or a VIP package.

The program will host many interesting airplanes that will be present for the first time in Belgium in static display as well as during the flying display.

Commandant Avi Michel “Mitch” Beulen
2,200 flying hours

"Mitch" is 35 years old and earned his wings in 1998. He is coming from the 349 squadron based in Kleine Brogel and perform this year his second solo display season. His plane is the FA110, an F-16 MLU/M5 and is wearing a special color sheme in the grey and blue tones and is named "Vortex".
