As the Belgian King Albert II emphasized, the Belgian National Day 2008 was overshadowed by a political crisis, but also endured the omen of a monetary-, press/media- and a meteorological crisis.

Regarding the aerial part of this event however, S.B.A.P. was able to cover the rehearsals as well as the official fly past on July 21, 2008.

On our photopages you will find pictures of the 15 Wing Transport which celebrates it's 60th anniversary and was honoured during this fly-past.
Also pictures of the 1 Wing Training with the Siai SF260 Marchettiand the Alpha Jets which came back from Cazaux for this occasion. And at last the 2 Tactical Wing at Florennes airbase with their F-16A/M and B/M, spearhead of the Belgian Air Component.

This wide photopanel was made possible due to the support and obligingness of the IPR section from COMOPSAIR, with our gratitude to all the team.
