Fouga Farewell

September 27, 2007
at Beauvechain airbase

Dear friends,

You were involved in working on or with the FOUGA, you have flown the FOUGA or you just love the FOUGA...

Then we are proposing to join us on Thursday September 27, 2007 at the 1 Wing at Beauvechain airbase to say definitively "Goodbye" to the Fouga, to thank this aircraft for those unforgettable moments and once more to enjoy his elegance in flight as well as his particular whistle .

From 14.00hrs till 18.00hrs you will have the opportunity to meet abundant acquaintances and friends again, have a chat and a drink and, maybe, share some sweet memories visiting a little historic and static exhibition.

If weather permits, you will also be able to witness the last in-flight presentation of the Fouga as well as to enjoy some other Air Component aircraft (F-16, Marchetti SF260, A-109 and Sea-King).

For reasons of organisation, we kindly invite you to subscribe for this event as soon as possible and imperatively before September 14, 2007.

To subscribe please do make a payment of 12 /person on bankaccountnumber 000-3302163-89 and clearly indicate your name, adress and the number of persons you would like to subscribe for.

By return of post you will receive an access card for your car to the 1 Wing (through Gate 3). This card can be exchanged at the entrance of hangar C7 for an attractive 'souvenir' package of the Fouga (pins, badge, DVD and poster) as well as some drinking tickets.

A book about the career of the Fouga in the Belgian Air Force Whistling Turtles in Belgian Skies , written by Serge Van Heertum and Marc Arys, will be offered for sale and signed by the authors at their booth.
