Flanders tour...

As everyone knows, the adventure of the Seaking in the Belgian Air Force is coming to an end. The final end of this majestic helicopter is planned for March 2019. After a last demonstration season called farewell tour, the authorities decided to organize a final formation flight of the three Seaking still in service. Indeed, the 19th of December was the date of the last programmed flight of the RS-05, the famous black Seaking, leaving for some weeks only two Seaking airworthy.
Some of our collaborators had the opportunity to witness this last flight of the three machines, immortalizing this trio for posterity.
So, some pictures were taken at Dixmuide at the top of the Yser tower showing the Seaking formation above the Flanders First World War battlefields, as a tribute to those who did their best to ensure the return to freedom of the younger generations. Then a stop at the Semmerzake Control Center and afterwards, the formation continued this Flanders tour. A last pass over the North Sea before heading back to Koksijde the home base, after more than two flight hours.
Here you have a pictorial overview, which will mark the History of the Belgian Air Force, one more time in 2018.
