Early the morning, the machine is prepared for the SAR mission

The training of the NH-90 FNH crew of Koksijde airbase is ongoing in this early 2015 and every day with good weather conditions is used to perform SAR training along the Belgian coast and more specifically at Lombardsijde.

This particular SAR training mission gave the opportunity to our friend and military photographer Adj Bart Rosselle to take some beautiful pictures of this helicopter in action. During the next months the NH-90 will gradually replace the good old Seaking of the Belgian Air Force and will become the new guardian angel of the Belgian coast.
But more than words, just have a look at the pictures with great recognition to the crews who saved thousands of lives during their career at 40 Squadron…”Aude Audenda” (Dare to dare – Osez oser)

This will be a beautifull day to fly above the North Sea
