 Vervlogen Meetjesland

During the weekend of 27 to 29 June, Ursel was again full of activity. 100 year flying in wartime, 75 years of flying activities in Ursel, commemoration of 70 years liberation and allied activity on B-67, 60 years of Ursel as NATO airfield, and 10 years of The Victors: these were enough reasons to inaugurate a memorial to commemorate the wartime history of the airfield at Ursel on Friday and organize a fly-in during the weekend. This attracted some interesting visitors, such as a notable RAF presence with a Tornado GR.4 and two Hawks. It is great that the RAF still keeps its connection with Ursel, or better with B-67 as the airfield was designated during the stay of the 2 Tactical Air Force in 1944, lively. What follows is an impression of the flying activity on Saturday.
