On November 10th, 2011, the 350 Fighter Squadron at Florennes celebrated its 70^th anniversary. 

Established on November 12th, 1941 some of the early hours 350 squadron pilots took part in the Battle of Britain (July 10th until October 31st, 1940) within the Royal Air Force. During the World War II the squadron took also part into operation "Jubilee" (Dieppe August 1942) and operation "Overlord" (Normandy June 1944).
After the Second World War the 350 F Sqn became a real Belgian squadron and distinguished itself particularly during the Cold War to defend the safety of our territory.

Today the squadron can rely on the F-16 fighter/bomber equipped with the latest precision guided weapons. 
Taking part in recent conflicts like the Balkan (Decisive Endeavour, Deliberate Guard & Allied Force), Afghanistan (ISAF Eastern Eagle & later Guardian Falcon) or recently Libya (Unified Protector / Freedom Falcon) allowed the squadron to prove its knowledge and professionalism in a multinational environment.
To commemorate this anniversary a special event was organised by the squadron. Everybody could access the base and admire the special decorated FA68.
An exhibition relating the squadron history was also organised in the TLP hangar with a F-16A/M equipped with some armament, models, pilot equipments and many other... Some panels were explaining the different life aspects of the squadron.
To conclude and mark this anniversary a book relating the 350 Squadron history from 1941 until today was published, sponsored by Dassault Aviation, Pratt & Whitney Belgium, S.A.B.C.A. and Techspace Aero.
