A night at museum !
Text & Pictures : Serge Van Heertum - SBAP
Despite the snow and
the
cold
temperatures,
a large
public came to visit the Army Museum of Brussels
at night.
The Air and Space section
also took part in this
festival
underlining the
100th
anniversary of this
prestigious Museum in Brussels. Many activities were offered to the visitors. A
mini bagpipes
concert, hosts in
different component uniforms from different periods,
tanks
demonstrations
and
many
booths
from Belgian Air Component squadrons, F-16 flight simulator from the Air
Component public relation departement,
the
Belgian industry with
SABCA,
Sabena Technics and your servants
from
SBAP ...
This was an opportunity for everyone to make contacts, see old acquaintances
from aviation world and take
a seat
in a F-16.
The
hot
onion soup and
other
glüwein helped surviving the winter temperatures. The cold temperature was on
the
outside but the
warmth in the hearts of all military history and aviation lovers.
A very nice initiative to
be
repeated ... and why not
during the
summer
period with
bathing
clothes
this time!
