Koksijde Airshow 2007

Every year the Belgian coast and more particularly Koksijde airbase is home of an international airshow. One of the strong points of this year's show was undoubtedly the flight demonstration of a Spanish Air Force Eurofighter.

Nostalgia was also on call and certainly in the heart of Lt. Col. Avi. 'Paul' Rorive, who on Sunday performed the last public display of his beloved Fouga Magister.

The static show contained some nice surprises like a Greek Texan II, two maritime surveillance aircraft - one from Holland (a Dornier 228-212), and one from Great Brittain (a Britten Norman BN2 Islander) - and some rare types to be spotted in our countries, an Antonov AN-30 from the Ukranian Air Force.

Sadly, our S.B.A.P. reporters could not make it to the airhsow but where present during to arrivals and rehearsals on Friday with gray skies and much humidity.

Do have a look at our Friday's photopages and do not forget your umbrella....
